TNBFA is the official organization to promote football for the visually impaired in Tamil Nadu.

• This platform was developed to ensure all visually impaired persons in Tamil Nadu get opportunities to experience the beautiful game of football.

• To create a fun environment and provide a pathway to competitive opportunities at the school, college, university, district, state and national levels are the goals of TNBFA.

• This helps to recognise the special needs of the differently-abled persons and which facilitates their participation in sports and games.

• This paves the way to encourage quality participation and performance by Tamil Nadu blind footballers at the national and international events through quality training, support schemes

TNBFA’s contribution to Relief Work

TNBFA plays a significant role as a relief worker for visually impaired boys and girls. Involving these challenged youth in sports gives them a scope to lead a life where there are opportunities and hope and teaches them that their impairment does not necessarily mean despair and hopelessness.

• Their involvement in sport builds their self-confidence and instils in them a positive attitude of achievement and fulfilment.

• This goes a long way to build a holistic society where such visually impaired people can equally participate in full fervour.

• Had it not been this significant segment of the society would have dragged its wellness quotient way below the comfort zone.
